Our Beautiful Princess
Posted by Jamie on August 31, 2007 10:05 AM
To the Queen of Hearts we bid a sad farewell
you have left a vacancy
a shattered world no other one can fill.
We felt for you in many ways
when you experienced dark and lonely days.
Your work was endless, yet you never tired,
and just to be loved seemed all you desired.
There are a few people out there today
those with a conscience, those who betray.
To Princes William and Harry
you displayed love with true devotion
A legacy they will keep alive
with your passion and emotion.
You were the People’s Princess,
you were the People’s Friend
and at 36 to lose your life
is a tragic, needless end.
The precious time with Dodi
was loving, sincere and true
and for once in your life you had someone
who loved and needed you.
Now you are united
may you both rest in peace together
and God grant your final wish
to be with Dodi forever.
You were the jewel in the crown
with qualities warm and tender.
The tribute to The People’s Princess
is to say... we will remember.
Christine Eleanor Livesey.

Your Mother lit a brilliant torch
to light you on life’s way.
Her caring and humanity
is her gift to you today.
Her torch will lift the shadows,
and light the darkest night.
It will help you through the years ahead.
Its warmth will hold you tight.
Please keep Her bright flame burning,
so She may see and know,
you have taken up the Mortal flame
of the causes She loved so.

Love is a word we often use
Love is a word we sometimes abuse
Love can mean we care for someone
or love just a name we call everyone
Love is a word used by us all each day
but love should be given in every way
A young lady gave real love to the world
with a smile, a touch and a charming manner
I truly believe she’s in Heaven now
our wonderful ‘Queen of Hearts’, Diana.

Princess Diana Gardens

A LOVELY lady has given her name
To a garden with not many flowers
You can sit and drink coffee and chat with your friends
Or just snooze and rest quietly for hours
It’s amazing who meets here and greets every day
We need sunshine, of course, as our guide
If the rain comes we scatter in moments to hide
To shelter or go shop inside.
Yet every day in sunshine or rain
I remember our Golden Princess
Her sweet, loving smile for all who she met
I can imagine her here,I confess
I am biased in favour of a spirit so free
I lover her deep caring and now
Whenever I sit and muse on the day
She comes in to my thoughts anyhow
I’m so glad they had sense, the powers that be
To give us rememberance so sweet
That Princess Diana, the People’s Princess
We can come here and daily can greet.

A Village Tree
by Chris Eden
A mighty Oak, which has given her life's resplendent years of beauty
To our Village, now stands solitary, ungainly:-a donquixote silhoutte,
Thrusting Static lance-like branches at an endless conducting sky;
Whose warm Sun, gentle Rain, pleasant Breeze beheld her in harmony-
High; presenting splendoured audience relationship to every passer-by.
Now it seems Meastro Sun, Symphonic Rain; Movement Breeze
Associate to orchestrate with vital-living woodwind trees,
Composing new musical sounds in contemporary melodies.
Transient, Silent, Somber, Dark; movement as- (adagio Bach) -
The gnarled old tree has set Life Free with surrending quiet dignity
To the universal unknown force: Mother Earth's 'Creative' Source.
I too am Born to die!
Again to - Be
In the Village perhaps
as a Sapling-Tree?
Amid warm Sun, gentle Rain,
pleasant Breeze
Singing New musical sounds, with Olden Melodies.
