Southport

SOUTHPORT is a seaside town,
Beaches, boats, trams, fairs, music, laughter, come on down.
Southport is packed with history,
Southport is covered in hidden mystery.
Plant life, wildlife and human life,
Like the weather it’s running rife.
On the marine lake the swans have an air of great serenity
Like us they are ready to defend their territory,
Day to day life is a continual struggle for all,
We have to find food, shelter and stay out of danger’s call
But there are moments of peace when sat upon the pier,
Remembering the good old days, love, warmth, thrills and spills
That brought many a tear,
Flower shows, pantomimes, motor rallies, concerts to name but a few,
We are lucky to witness and proud through and through
Remember OLD Southport.
We are the best in Southport.
